The Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer examinations are intended for engineers who design, develop, and/or operate Ruby-based systems, consultants who make Ruby-based system proposals, and instructors who teach Ruby. Those who are certified are recognized for their skills as Ruby engineers and as having high levels of Ruby-based system development capabilities. Those who pass the examination are certified by the Ruby Association as a Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer.
There are 2 level of certification: Silver and Gold.
Ruby Association Certified Ruby Programmer Gold version 3 is a certification of a deeper understanding of the topics covered under Silver certification (syntax, object oriented programming, embedded libraries, operating environments, etc.) in addition to knowledge of the standard Ruby libraries and knowledge related to classes and objects required for Ruby application design.
The Revised Ruby certification exam for Ruby 3 was released on October, 2022.
